ABOUT THE IRON MAN MUSEUM

The museum was established in 1984 to collect, preserve, and display artifacts and the photographic history of the Joshua Hendy Iron Works, Westinghouse Electric Corporation, and Northrop Grumman Corporation that have occupied the plant. It is operated and maintained by dedicated Northrop Grumman employees and history-conscious retirees. Items on display include the original office of John Hendy, a Hydraulic giant monitor, ore car, and buckets, U.S. Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile history, models, Westinghouse nostalgia room with vintage home and kitchen appliances, and lots more.
